Mike Casey, Co-Founder and Managing Partner Storey Hospitality and Storey Hotel Management Group were both cofounded by Bay Area native, Mike Casey. Mike has over 30 years experience in the hotel industry and has launched and actively managed multiple multi-million dollar hotels for leading hospitality companies, from construction through market.
Combining an entrepreneurial style with strategic thinking, Mike creates systems, processes and procedures that repeatedly produce the highest industry ratings for revenue and quality, as well as media accolades for such award-winning properties as Rosewood Sand Hill, The Palomar and Omni Hotel in San Francisco, and Hyatt Hotels. Mike has a history of consistently increasing revenue and profit through innovative programs and service expansions, and has led numerous 100-plus person teams, delivering market-leading levels of customer service.
Additionally, Mike spent four and a half years immersed in the latest trends in food, technology, sustainability and workplace preferences at Google. There he was head of operations for 28 Guckenheimer @ Google cafes across the nation, over 100 event venues, 125 micro-kitchens and 700+ employees. With an annual budget of $106 million, his team served more than 25,000 meals a day to 14,000+ Google employees and won numerous awards including #1 Café, #1 Catering Team and #1 Micro-Kitchen Team in the Americas.
Mike has served as Chairman of the Albequerque Convention and Visitors Bureau, Officer representing Management for the San Francisco Hotel Union and Management Multi-Employer Group, and Officer of the Hotel Council of San Francisco. He enjoys being active in the community and has served on the Advisory Board of the Ronald McDonald House and for many years as a youth baseball coach and Commissioner of the Orinda Baseball Association.
Laura Rose, Managing Partner As Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Laura Rose brings over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and digital content strategy to the Storey Hospitality/Storey Hotel Management Group teams. Laura's focus is on helping properties engage with their target audiences to increase revenue and direct bookings. Whether it's honing a property's brand positioning, creating an effective sales and marketing plan, forming impactful brand and community partnerships or designing a digital media and SEO strategy, Laura works with our properties to make sure they achieve their goals.
Prior to Storey Hotel Management Group, Laura spent six years both on and behind the camera hosting, scripting, producing and directing video for online and television distribution. As a leader in the Bay Area multi-media industry, she created compelling marketing content for clients, including many within the hospitality industry. She has also served on the Rolling Stone Culture Council, an exclusive community of tastemakers and innovators in the world of entertainment, fashion, and hospitality.
Laura began her business career in human resources focused on recruiting, staffing and retention. She then moved into sales where she set multiple performance records, first in the staffing industry for Manpower and then as the number one Major Account Manager for Xerox Corporation in the California Government and Education Organization.
Laura is also passionate about giving back to the community and has served as President of the Board of Young Audiences of Northern California, Founder and President of The San Francisco Women's Club, member of the Junior League of San Francisco, and member of the Environmental Satellite for the United Religions Initiative. Laura was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Senate and Assembly for her work on behalf of women and children in the Bay Area.
Jonathan Holcomb - Vice President of Commercial Strategy Jonathan brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to the Storey team, with a deep understanding of both Operations and Revenue Management, and a consistent track record of increasing top-line room revenue and growing market share. Jonathan’s passion for data and the insight and strategic vision it brings helps guide the business direction of each of Storey’s properties.
He has worked with independent boutique hotels like Hotel Diva (130 rooms) and Hotel Union Square (131 rooms) as well as branded full-service properties like Park Central Hotel (Starwood, 681 rooms), Pullman (Accor, 421 rooms), Embassy Suites Santa Clara (225 rooms), and Embassy Suites Portland Downton (276 rooms).
A long-time Bay Area resident, Jonathan loves attending live music and sporting events and is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. He and his wife Vanessa are proud parents of two adorable boys, Benjamin and Jack.
Omar Pena, Corporate Director of Finance. Omar is an experienced Director of Finance with a demonstrated history of leadership in the hospitality industry. A native of Caracas, Venezuela, he started his journey at Harbor Village Resorts in the Bonaire (Dutch Caribbean) and thereafter joined Four Seasons where he was involved in the opening of Four Seasons Caracas and later had assignments in Mexico City and Lisbon, Portugal. Omar then spent 16 years with Rosewood Hotels across multiple locations. Most recently he served as Complex Director of Finance with Sonesta San Jose and Silicon Valley and as Director of Finance at Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco, managed by HEI Hotels.
Omar has been in the Bay Area for the last ten years. He loves going to the gym and is a loyal follower of the of the 49ers, Giants and Warriors. He and his wife Aracelis enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with their pug, Rocky.
Rahman Faridi - Corporate Revenue Analyst. Rahman brings over 12 years of hospitality experience and a deep passion for operational excellence and data analytics to the Storey Team. In his previous roles, Rahman has held a variety of operations positions including Executive Assistant to the Director of Hotel Operations, Assistant Hotel Manager, Front Desk Training Manager, and Assistant Front Desk Manager.
A native of Las Vegas, Rahman received his BS in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada. He loves to read, travel, attend boxing matches, and volunteer with various community organizations around the Las Vegas Valley. Additionally, Rahman is an avid indoor gardener and loves spending time with his cat, Emmy.

She's an Airbnb SuperHost in San Francisco, a Pilates teacher, and always looking for new stories to tell about magical destinations with champagne.
Shelley Lindgren - Wine Programming & Food and Beverage Training Shelley Lindgren is Wine Director and Partner in A16 and SPQR Restaurants. Shelley’s reputation as an industry pioneer and advocate for the wines of Italy was recognized in 2019, when she was knighted by the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco receiving the "Cavaliere dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana" recognition. In 2004, she and her partners opened A16 in San Francisco, a restaurant inspired by the cooking of Campania with an emphasis on Southern Italian wines, an idea that was unheard of at the time. More than a decade later, A16 is thriving, with an award-winning wine list, a second restaurant in Oakland, Calif., and a sister restaurant, SPQR, that is also dedicated to Italian wine.
A graduate of University of San Francisco, she studied for her sommelier certificate while working at Fleur de Lys, a renowned fine-dining French restaurant. Lindgren also holds a culinary certificate at the Tante Marie Cooking School. Lindgren is a member of Les Dames d’ Escoffier and has taught at the Culinary Institute of America and SF Cooking School. She has been interviewed on several radio and television programs and podcasts about Italian wine and has been the subject of features from publications such as Food & Wine and Punch.com. After working in restaurants her whole life, Lindgren feels that her job is less about creating high-profile wine lists and more about sharing her passion for wine and hospitality with guests. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and their two sons and is on the Board of Directors for the Guild of Sommeliers as well for Slide Ranch - helping plant kids in nature since 1971.

Greg Lindgren, Craft Cocktail Programming and Training - Master Mixologist and owner of iconic San Francisco establishments RyeSF, The Cordial, 15 Romolo and Rye on the Road, Greg spearheads the cocktail programming for Storey Hotel Management Group’s food and beverage outlets and trains the bartending staff on the art of creating and consistently delivering innovative craft cocktails and a memorable guest experience.
At the Ameswell Hotel’s bar Roger, Greg has brought together the latest techniques combined with a NASA inspired cocktail menu that offers a true sense of place and has customer’s writing rave reviews.
Greg is a volunteer with CUESA, a non-profit organization dedicated to growing thriving communities through the power and joy of local food. Greg and his wife, Shelley, are a dynamic duo, managing multiple successful food and beverage outlets, while raising two active sons.
Hooman Khalili - Music Programming & Live Entertainment Hooman Khalili is a popular radio personality in the San Francisco Bay Area on the top-rated morning show on Alice Radio @97.3 (CBS Radio), The Sarah and Vinnie Show. He has been an integral part of the show for 18 years screening callers, reviewing movies and interviewing celebrities. Over the years, Hooman has interviewed countless celebrities including Sting, Maroon 5, 50 Cent, Michael Franti, John Travolta, Julianne Moore, Ed Harris and Hunter S. Thompson, to name a few.
Hooman's passion for film and music led him to create the film Olive in 2011, the first feature-length film shot entirely on a Smart Phone. The movie stars Academy Award-winning actress, Gena Rowlands, and qualified for the 2011 Academy Awards with 5 original songs written and performed by legendary singer, Dolly Parton. Hooman's deep Silicon Valley connections were also apparent in its creation, with Facebook executive Chris Kelly as Executive Producer and an on-camera appearance by Randi Zuckerberg.
Prior to filming Olive, Hooman secured his place in the Museum of Radio and Television in New York City with his #1 most viewed non-partisan video aimed at getting the youth of America to participate in the presidential election. The video received over 5.1 million views on YouTube. In 2006, he entertained a new generation of listeners in the Pixar film, Cars, as the car named Hooman, one of the most successful racing sports photographers and celebrity interviewers in the business.
Nicholas Hui - Video Production & Photography Nicholas Hui is the Co-Founder of Level 2 Productions, a San Francisco based Media Company. He specializes as Director of Photography, First Camera Operator, and Lead Video Editor, offering services to corporate clients focused on improving their digital marketing results through video advertising best practices.
Nick’s clients have included both small and large businesses such as Facebook, Nike, Lyft, and Lennar. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Communication from San Francisco State University and has over 7 years of experience in the field, including three years as a video editor for The Discovery Channel.
On a personal note, Nick is a self-professed computer geek. He has two dogs, is a practicing martial artist, and travels the world eating his way through different countries as he learns about their culture through food history.
